Principal's Report

Dear Families,

We hope that you have had a great fortnight since our last newsletter. As always, there has been lots of great things happening around Anakie PS. Our Grade 5/6 students have had a wonderful week, attending two excursions to Gordon TAFE - Learning Through Lunch, and also Ecolinc. We can't wait to hear about these experiences at our assembly. On Monday 19th we will be celebrating Book Week at Anakie PS. Students can come dressed up in their favourite character or someone/thing that piques their interest. Staff are ready to go with their outfits! We invite families to come and watch our parade at 9:05am, hopefully the weather permits us being on the basketball court. Our parade will be followed by assembly.

We have eggs available for purchase from the front office - grab some today!

Parent / Teacher Interviews

Thank you to all families who attended a Parent/Teacher Interview last week. It is great to keep the communication between school and home open, and share the great learning and progress that students have been making. As always, our doors are always open throughout the term if you have anything that you need to discuss.

Storytime

Storytime is back next Friday morning from 9-10am. We look forward to welcoming our 2025 Foundation students, and any other 3 and 4 year old children from the Anakie community. Mr King will be taking the first Storytime, then I will be taking the remaining two.

Trivia Night

Get excited - Anakie PS is hosting a Trivia Night on Friday 13th September at the Anakie Football/Netball Club. We invite past, present and future members of the Anakie PS community, as well as family and friends. This is strictly an 18+ event, drinks available at bar prices, bring along snacks/nibbles to share with your table. It's going to be a great night, professionally hosted.

We are also seeking voluntary donations for our silent auction and raffle - don't hesitate to get in touch if you have got something that you donate.
