Principal's Report

Welcome to this fortnight's Principal Report. A reminder that tomorrow is our Curriculum Day. All staff will be onsite working collaboratively on our behaviour curriculum, following on from my visit to Sydney. We will be exploring common behaviours and strategies to support students so that they can get their most out of their schooling. We have no bookings for our OSHC program, so the school will not be open until 8:30am. Monday is also King's Birthday Holiday, so the school will be closed for the day. We hope that families enjoy the extra long weekend, and we will see everyone back on Tuesday. We have also moved our assembly to Tuesday morning, straight after drop off. Some families are involved in SSG meetings on Tuesday, so there will be some staff missing from assembly while these are taking place in the early part of the day.

Bunnings BBQ - THANK YOU

A very big thank you to all families and staff who gave up their time for the Bunnings BBQ last Sunday. As mentioned at assembly. A special thank you to Amanda and Sue who were our team captains, ensuring that stock was ok, and volunteers knew their roles. It is such a great fundraiser for our school, this year we raised just over $2000. Thank you once again!

Holiday Program

An email was sent out this week from OSHC - bookings are now being taken for the second week of the July school holidays. The program runs from 8am - 5pm each day from Monday 8th July to Friday 12th July. Bookings are essential as there are limited spaces. Please email [email protected] if you would like to book your child/ren in.

Gymnastics

Students have been thoroughly enjoying the gymnastics program at YMCA. With so many activities to participate in, it has been so wonderful to see the joy on their faces when trying something new. We will share lots of photos in the next edition of the newsletter.

2025 Enrolments

Enrolments are now open for 2025 - if you know of any 2025 students who are planning on attending Anakie PS in 2025, please encourage them to contact the school to organise a tour and grab an enrolment pack.
